Parcent & Omgeving

Gabriel Miró, the famous Spanish artist, said of Parcent: “It is a paradise among the mountains.” The artist chose to make it his home, and today it is a tourist attraction in the town. This charming Moorish village is surrounded by beautiful farmland where grapes, almonds, olives and oranges are grown. The pretty cobbled streets all lead up to a lovely square and a historic church with a bell tower. The village has all everyday amenities and is only a 5–10 minute drive from the larger towns of Orba and Jalón. There are some excellent restaurants, including L'Era, which, according to the inhabitants of Parcent, serves the best paella in the valley.
